It is getting very expensive for farmers to buy fertilizer lately. Fertilizer is the food that helps plants grow. Because of the war in Iran, the cost of these supplies has gone way up. This makes it hard for farmers to make money on their crops.

Many farmers have decided to stop buying from big stores. Instead, they are making their own fertilizer at home. This is often called DIY, or "do it yourself."

They are using things they already have on their farms, like animal waste or leftover plant parts. This is a big help for them. It saves them a lot of money and helps them keep their businesses going during this tough time.

By making their own "plant food," these farmers are able to keep growing the food we eat without needing to pay the high prices caused by the war.
