Iran has executed a man. The government says he was a spy. They accused him of working for Israel’s intelligence agency, known as the Mossad.
Officials in Iran say the man gave away secret information about the country’s missile sites. In Iran, sharing military secrets with a foreign enemy is a very serious crime.
Several news outlets reported the news on Monday. The Iranian judiciary confirmed the execution but did not give the man’s name.
Iran and Israel have been enemies for a long time. Iran often accuses Israel of sending spies into their country to gather information or cause trouble. This event is part of that ongoing conflict between the two nations.
