Italy is famous for pizza, pasta, and wine. But now, the country is starting to sell something a bit different to the rest of the world.
It is a food that people in other countries really like. They think it is a special, high-end treat. But if you ask someone from Italy about it, they will likely turn their nose up. Many Italians think the food is gross and do not want it on their dinner plates.
Now, companies in Italy are focusing on selling this food to places outside of their own borders. They know that people in other countries are willing to pay good money for it. Since there is no big market for it at home, sending it abroad is a smart way to make money.
It is a strange situation. A product that is seen as a delicacy in one place is considered a failure in its own backyard. It shows how different people’s tastes can be depending on where they live.
