King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the monarch of the Tooro kingdom in Uganda, has passed away. He was once famous for being the youngest king in the world when he took the throne as a child.

His body has now been brought back to Uganda from the United States, where he had been staying. The return of the King’s body marks the beginning of a sad time for his kingdom and his family.

His mother and other family members, including Princess Bagaya, are mourning the loss. Princess Bagaya has asked the people of Tooro to come together, pray for the King’s soul, and focus on the mourning process during this difficult time.

King Oyo was known by many for his work with young people. He spent much of his time leading efforts to help youth and was especially known for his dedicated work in the fight to end AIDS. Organizations like UNAIDS have remembered him for his leadership and his commitment to these important causes.

People in Uganda and beyond are now preparing to pay their final respects to the late King. Funeral arrangements are currently underway, and the nation is coming together to honor his life and his years of service to his people.
