Man goes to jail after using robot vacuum to catch his cheating wife
A man used his home's robot vacuum to record audio of his wife's affair. He later won a legal case, but then faced jail time for the way he got the proof.

A man has been sent to prison for the way he caught his wife cheating.
He wanted to prove his wife was having an affair. To get the evidence he needed, he used his robot vacuum cleaner. These small machines usually roam around the house to clean floors, but he used it to record audio of her and another man.
He successfully used the recording to win a legal case. In that case, he was awarded $16,000. However, the victory was short-lived.
Legal authorities discovered that the man had recorded private conversations without the other person's permission. In many places, it is illegal to record someone in private without them knowing. Because he broke the law to get the audio, the court sent him to prison.
While he managed to prove the cheating, his decision to use the vacuum to spy on his wife ended up causing him to lose his own freedom.
