Narges Mohammadi is a brave woman who won the Nobel Peace Prize. Even though she is currently in prison in Iran, she managed to send a message to the world. She spoke with the Associated Press recently.

She said that the people of Iran are having a very hard time. They are stuck in a bad spot. On one side, the government is using harsh force to stop anyone who speaks out against them. This is called repression. It means people are not allowed to be free or tell the truth.

On the other side, there is the constant threat of war. She explained that the regular people of Iran are the ones paying the price for these problems. They are living in fear and struggle every single day.

Mohammadi is known for her work to help women and fight for human rights in Iran. Even while behind bars, she wants the world to know that Iranians are suffering because of the choices made by those in power. She is urging people outside of Iran to pay attention to what is happening there.
