Norway has announced a major plan to help Ukraine. They have promised to give more than $9 billion in support over the next few years, lasting through 2027.
This money is part of a larger effort to help Ukraine as it continues to defend itself. The leaders of both countries have been meeting to talk about how this support will work.
Beyond just money, the two countries are also working closer together on military technology. They have signed new agreements to focus on defense cooperation. A big part of this deal is about drones. Both nations want to share technology to help build better drones, which are small pilotless aircraft used for defense.
By working together, Norway hopes to strengthen Ukraine’s ability to protect its land. This partnership is meant to be a long-term plan, not just a one-time gift. Both countries believe this deal will make their defense efforts much more effective.
