Pakistan has sent four planeloads of weapons to Saudi Arabia. The move comes as the kingdom deals with increasing attacks from Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Saudi officials say they will not compromise on their country’s security. Prince Mohammed bin Salman recently stated that the Houthis have chosen a path of chaos, and the Saudi government is determined to stop it.
Because of the rising danger, members of the Makkah defense pact are planning an emergency meeting. This group of nations, including Pakistan, will talk about how to handle the Houthi rebels. According to Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the meeting is set to happen next week. The group will look for ways to engage with the Houthis to stop the violence.
Prince Turki Al-Faisal, a prominent Saudi official, added that Saudi Arabia has shown restraint for a long time, but that approach is no longer working.
The situation is tense, and these countries are now looking for a unified plan to protect the region from further Houthi attacks.
