October 7 marks one year since the deadly Hamas attacks in Israel. Now, different schools and groups around the world are planning protests and events for that day.

In London, the Metropolitan Police are asking students to cancel a planned pro-Palestinian march. The police are worried about safety and want to keep things calm on such a difficult anniversary.

Meanwhile, in other parts of the world, schools are facing backlash. In Toronto, a university is planning an event called 'Honoring Our Martyrs.' This has caused a lot of anger, as many people feel it is disrespectful to hold an event like that on the same day as the massacre anniversary.

In Australia, another university is letting a 'Palestine awareness week' go ahead.

Even with police warnings, some protesters say they still plan to go out and march on October 7. Police are now on high alert as they try to manage these demonstrations without letting things turn violent.
