Police identify man who pushed elderly hawker for patting a child's head

A 73-year-old hawker in Singapore was shoved to the ground after he patted a young girl on the head. The incident happened at a wanton noodle shop.
Security camera footage of the event sparked a lot of conversation online. The hawker, who runs a business called Bei-Ing Wanton Noodle, said he only patted the girl because he thought she was very cute.
After the man pushed him, the hawker initially refused to see a doctor. He said he would 'rather die at home' than go to a hospital. However, he has since gone in for a checkup to make sure he is okay.
Police in Singapore looked into the case and have now identified the man who did the pushing. They are currently investigating the assault.
The hawker explained that he meant no harm by his gesture. He was just being friendly toward a customer's child. Now, everyone is waiting to see what the police will do next regarding the man who pushed him.
