Russia has launched a series of heavy attacks on Kyiv and surrounding areas. They are using a mix of ballistic missiles and jet-powered drones. These attacks are hitting energy facilities, which is a major concern as winter approaches.
In Kyiv, the strikes have resulted in at least three deaths. The attacks have been intense enough that NATO—an alliance of countries that work together for defense—had to scramble fighter jets in Poland and Romania to monitor the situation.
