Russia is using faster jet-powered drones to attack Ukraine

Russia is now using a new kind of drone in its war against Ukraine. These drones have jet engines. They fly twice as fast as the older models Ukraine is used to fighting.
At first, people thought these new drones might be too fast to stop. There were concerns that Ukraine’s current defense systems couldn't keep up. Despite this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his forces are still doing a good job. He claims they are successfully shooting down more than half of these new jet-powered drones.
Even with these successes, the sheer number of drones is a major problem. Russia is sending these weapons in by the thousands. Just recently, Ukrainian defense forces reported neutralizing 147 Russian drones during a single night of attacks.
Russia is not slowing down either. President Zelenskyy says that Russia plans to spend $12 billion on these jet-powered drones and similar weapons next year.
This creates a difficult challenge for Ukraine. It is a constant game of cat and mouse where the defenses have to get better and faster every single day just to keep up with the new, expensive technology that Russia is pouring into the fight.
