Russia Launches Major Drone Attacks Across Ukraine

Russia launched a massive wave of drone attacks against Ukraine this week. The strikes hit the capital city of Kyiv and other areas, causing death and destruction.
In Kyiv, the sounds of drones and explosions echoed throughout the day. Officials say these attacks happened shortly after talks between Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy and Donald Trump. Reports from the ground state that at least two people were killed and dozens were wounded in the capital.
Other news outlets are reporting even higher casualty numbers, with at least four people dead across the country due to the ongoing strikes. The constant threat of drones has kept citizens in a state of fear and danger.
Outside of the capital, the violence also reached the Black Sea. In a separate incident, a cargo ship flying a foreign flag was hit by a Russian attack. Reports confirm that the captain of that ship was killed during the strike.
These attacks come at a tense time as President Zelenskyy prepares to speak at the United Nations. The situation on the ground remains dangerous for civilians as air raid sirens continue to warn people to take cover.
