Starvation Reported in Russian-Occupied Oleshky
People trapped in the occupied city of Oleshky are reportedly starving to death as food and water supplies run out.

A terrible humanitarian crisis is happening in the Ukrainian city of Oleshky. The city is currently under Russian occupation, and the people trapped there are running out of everything they need to survive.
Reports coming out of the area are heart-breaking. Residents say they are completely cut off from food and water. Because there is nothing left to eat, some people have been forced to eat garden weeds and grass just to stay alive.
Journalists and local officials are now saying that some people have already starved to death.
Andrii Sybiha, a top official in the Ukrainian government, is calling on other countries to take action immediately. He says the world needs to help get aid into the city to stop the suffering.
For months, the city has been under a tight blockade. This means it is very hard for food, water, or medicine to get in. Many locals are now trying to flee the area, but it is dangerous and difficult to get out safely.
For now, the situation remains desperate for those who are still stuck inside.
