President Zelenskyy has announced that Ukraine is launching new, long-range missions. This is happening in direct response to the recent heavy bombing campaigns by Russia.
At the same time, Ukraine is changing how it defends its skies. The country has unveiled a new type of drone. This drone is designed specifically to chase down and destroy the jet-powered Shahed drones that Russia has been using.
These new Ukrainian drones are fast and act like interceptors. Think of them as a flying guard dog that hunts down incoming threats before they can hit their targets.
Zelenskyy says these new steps are part of a plan to stop the constant Russian attacks. By using these faster, high-tech drones, Ukraine hopes to make it much harder for Russia to strike from long distances.
