Will the world actually reach its big 2030 goals?
The United Nations set 17 big goals to fix the world's problems. Experts are now worried we won't hit any of them by the deadline.

A few years ago, the United Nations made a giant to-do list. They called these the '17 Sustainable Development Goals.' The idea was to make the world a much better place by the year 2030.
The list includes things like ending extreme poverty, making sure everyone has clean water, and fixing the damage being done to our planet. These are huge goals meant to help everyone on Earth.
Now, we are getting closer to 2030, but things aren't looking great. A new report suggests that we are falling way behind.
In fact, some people are starting to ask a tough question: Will we even finish one of these goals by the deadline?
Right now, it looks like we might miss almost all of them. Progress has been very slow. Problems like wars, money issues, and the changing climate have made it much harder to get things done.
The leaders who made the plan wanted to change the world. Unless something big changes very quickly, it seems like these 2030 goals will just be a dream that we didn't quite reach.
