Avalanche at Nepal Base Camp: 2 Dead, Many Still Missing

A serious accident happened in the mountains of Nepal. A giant pile of snow, known as an avalanche, slid down a mountain and hit a base camp. This is the spot where climbers stay before they head up to the top of the mountain.
Two people have been confirmed dead. Rescue workers are still looking for others who were caught in the snow. Reports on exactly how many people are missing vary, with some sources saying six and others saying as many as fourteen people have not been found.
Severe weather in the area made it hard for rescuers to reach the camp. The conditions are dangerous, and the search is ongoing. We are waiting for more updates from officials on the ground as they continue to look for survivors.
