It has been weeks since the terrible floods hit Nepal, but the situation is still very bad. Thousands of people are still missing. Even worse, many of the bodies that have been found cannot be identified yet. This makes it very hard for families to get closure.

The damage is everywhere. In many towns along the path of the flood, there is nothing left. The water swept through everything, destroying homes and businesses. People who survived the disaster are now coming back to see what is left. For most, the destruction is almost impossible to believe.

Recovery work is just starting. People are beginning to clear away the mud and the ruins, but the process will take a long time. There is a lot of grief as communities try to figure out how to rebuild their lives.

Because the situation is so desperate, groups like Action Against Hunger are starting emergency aid missions. They are working to provide food and basic supplies to the people who lost everything.

Right now, the focus is on finding those who are still missing and making sure the survivors have enough to eat and a safe place to stay.
