A court in Hong Kong is hearing the disturbing details behind the murder of socialite and model Abby Choi. Choi was 28 years old when she died. Prosecutors say she was killed because of a fight over a luxury apartment sale.

Evidence presented in court suggests the killing was carefully planned. Prosecutors told the court that the suspects bought an electric saw and a meat mincer shortly before the crime took place. They believe these items were purchased specifically to help dispose of the body.

In a gruesome discovery, officials said they found parts of the model’s skull inside a pot of soup. The soup was being cooked with carrots.

The people on trial for the murder include Choi’s ex-husband and members of his family. The court case is drawing significant attention as the prosecution outlines how they believe the family carried out the murder and attempted to hide the evidence.

The trial is expected to continue as more evidence is presented regarding the motive and the actions of those involved.
