Wildfires are burning out of control in parts of Europe today.

In Greece, the situation is heartbreaking. Two people have died on an island near the city of Athens. Officials have had to evacuate hundreds of people from their homes to keep them safe from the flames. Firefighters are working hard to stop the fire from spreading, but the dry conditions make it very difficult.

At the same time, a massive fire is burning in Belgium. It is actually the biggest wildfire ever recorded in that country. The fire started in a large nature reserve and is now moving toward the border of Germany.

In both countries, emergency crews are doing everything they can to put out the fires and protect people living nearby.

Weather conditions like high heat and wind have made these fires grow very fast. Authorities are asking everyone in affected areas to stay alert and follow safety instructions from local police and fire departments.
