Israel is blocking some U.S. citizens from entering the country

Israel is now stopping some Americans from entering the country. Lawyers say this is happening to people who have ties to Palestinian activists or who have criticized the Israeli government.
Normally, American citizens can visit Israel quite easily. But lately, there have been more reports of travelers being turned away at the border.
Advocates say the government is using a specific rule to block these people. They claim the government is targeting those who have supported protests or groups that speak out against Israeli policies.
Some of the people stopped are lawyers or human rights workers. They were planning to visit for work or to see family. Instead, they were told they could not come in and were sent back home.
This has caused a lot of frustration for the travelers and their families. It is not yet clear exactly how many people have been affected by this, but lawyers are looking into the situation to see if it follows the law.
