Israel Strikes Targets in Southern Syria

Syria says the attack breaks international law, while Israel claims it hit a target preparing to attack its soldiers.

Israel launched air strikes in southern Syria earlier today. The Syrian government responded quickly, calling the attack a violation of international law.

Reports say the strikes happened near the capital, Damascus, and in the southern part of the country. One report mentioned that an Israeli drone strike left at least one person wounded.

Israel’s military, the IDF, explained their side of the story. They said they targeted someone in southern Syria who was actively preparing to attack Israeli soldiers.

At the same time, tensions in the region remain high. A United States official recently suggested that recent attacks on military bases in the area might be an attempt to bait Turkiye into the conflict.

For now, the situation on the ground remains tense as both sides trade accusations over the military action.
