Man finds a huge treasure of ancient Roman coins in a field

An amateur treasure hunter in Germany just made a discovery of a lifetime. While walking through a field with his metal detector, the device started making noise that wouldn't stop. He started digging and found something incredible: a massive pile of 934 old silver coins.
These coins are Roman denarii. They are silver coins from the time of the Roman Empire. Experts say this is the biggest collection of coins from the era of Emperor Hadrian ever found in Germany.
Because of how many there are and how they were hidden, experts believe this is an important piece of history. The coins are about 2,000 years old. Finding nearly a thousand of them in one spot is very rare.
It is not clear yet who buried the coins or why they were left in the ground for so long. For now, experts are cleaning them up and studying them to learn more about the people who owned them all those years ago.
