Hundreds of people tried to cross the border into Ceuta this week. Ceuta is a small piece of land in North Africa that belongs to Spain. Because it is part of Spain, people often try to get there to reach Europe.
Moroccan police and security teams were ready for them. They stopped the crowds before they could get across the border fence. Reports say more than 100 people were arrested during the security push. Some groups tried more than once, but authorities were waiting to turn them back.
This area is a common spot for people looking for a better life in Europe. Many people arrive at the border hoping to jump the fence or sneak past guards.
There is also some tension behind the scenes. Some labor unions that represent border workers in Spain are saying that the government didn't listen to warnings. They claim they told officials that a large group of people was planning to rush the border, but they say the government didn't prepare enough for it.
