German police have found a large collection of weapons hidden in a forest near Berlin. Officials are now working to figure out who put them there and why.

While police have not officially named any suspects, multiple news outlets report that the stash may be connected to Russia. Investigators are currently checking the weapons for evidence to see if they were part of a larger plan.

So far, officials are being careful about what they say to the public. They have confirmed that an investigation is active, but they have not pointed the finger at anyone yet. For now, the woods remain a focus for authorities as they try to piece together how this equipment ended up hidden in the trees.
