Things are getting very tense between Ethiopia and its neighbor, Eritrea. There is a lot of talk about a possible war, and people are starting to get worried.
Here is what is happening:
Ethiopia recently said it would protect itself after its soldiers claimed Eritrean troops crossed into the Tigray region. Ethiopia even sent a message to the United Nations saying they are just acting in self-defense.
On the other side, Eritrea is telling the United Nations that it wants them to step in and help fix the standoff between the two countries.
Experts who watch the region say this fighting is dangerous. They are worried it could turn into a much bigger war. To make things more complicated, other countries like Egypt are now building alliances in the Red Sea area, which adds even more pressure to the situation.
Right now, both sides are blaming each other for the trouble. With soldiers moving near the border and sharp words being traded, the international community is watching closely to see what happens next.
