Things are getting very serious in Ethiopia right now. Government forces are moving close to the capital of the Tigray region. This has a lot of people worried that the fighting will spread and become a much bigger problem.

There is a lot of confusion about what is happening on the ground. A group that supports the Ethiopian government says they now have almost full control over the Tigray area. However, there is still active fighting between the government and rebel groups.

People in the capital city, Addis Ababa, are also on edge. There have been reports of explosions heard in the city. These sounds happened right after the government put a ban on drone flights, which are small, remote-controlled aircraft used for spying or attacks.

Because of all this violence, many people are asking for help. The Catholic Bishops in Ethiopia have sent out an urgent message. They are calling for peace and for everyone to stop fighting so they can start talking and fixing things instead.

It is a scary time for families in the region. We are watching the situation closely as it develops.
