Wildfires spread across Europe: Trouble in Belgium and Greece
Dangerous fires are burning in Belgium and Greece. Two people have died near Athens, and firefighters are working hard to keep the flames away from Germany.

Big wildfires are burning in parts of Europe right now. People are working hard to stop them before they cause more damage.
In Belgium, a large fire has been burning near the border of Germany. People were worried it would cross over into German land. Luckily, some rain has fallen recently, which is helping the firefighters get the blaze under control. For now, the fire is being kept out of Germany.
At the same time, things are much worse in Greece. Fires have broken out near the city of Athens. Sadly, two people have died because of these fires. Many people have had to leave their homes to stay safe.
Firefighters in both countries are working around the clock. They are fighting the flames in forests and near towns. Officials are keeping a close watch on the weather because hot, dry wind can make these fires spread very fast.
