If you use the ASOS shopping app, you might have seen a strange notification today. The company sent out a message telling customers that there was an 'unauthorised' hack on their system.
This means someone who wasn't supposed to be there got into parts of the app. ASOS says that some of your personal information might have been seen by these people.
They are currently investigating what happened. They want to find out exactly how much information was touched.
**What should you do?**
Experts suggest you stay calm but be careful. It is a good idea to change your ASOS password right now. If you use that same password for other websites, change those, too.
Keep an eye on your bank account and your email. If you see anything you did not buy or any strange emails, report it right away.
Some reports mention something called a 'snowflake instance.' That is just a fancy name for a type of cloud database where companies keep their data. It sounds like the problem might be linked to how that data was stored.
ASOS is working to fix the issue. We will update you as soon as we know more.
