At Least 30 Dead After Garbage Hill Collapses in Guinea

A terrible accident happened in Conakry, the capital city of Guinea. A massive pile of trash at a landfill site collapsed and buried the area around it.
Government officials say at least 30 people have died.
It had been raining very hard before the accident happened. The heavy rain likely made the giant mound of waste unstable, causing it to slide down.
Rescue teams are working at the site to look for survivors and recover those lost in the disaster.
Landslides like this happen when landfills are not properly managed, especially during the rainy season. This is a very sad day for the families of those affected.
