At least eight dead after ferry sinks off North Cyprus

A tragic accident happened off the coast of North Cyprus. A ferry boat carrying people flipped over in the water. We call this capsizing.

So far, we know that at least eight people have died. Emergency crews are working hard at the scene right now.

There are still 17 people missing. Rescuers are searching the area to try and find them. We do not have more details on how the boat flipped or who was on board yet. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
