It is Election Day in Chicago, and many people are reporting big problems at the polls. Voters across the city have been waiting in line for hours to cast their ballots.

In many areas, polling places ran out of paper ballots. This slowed things down a lot, making people wait even longer than expected.

Despite the long lines and the missing ballots, officials say that a lot of people showed up to vote today. They describe the voter turnout as strong.

As of now, the polls have closed across Chicagoland. People are waiting to see the final results for the local races.

In some of the bigger races, we already have some news. J.B. Pritzker and Juliana Stratton have been named the early winners in their elections.

If you were stuck in line today, officials are asking for your patience as they work to finish counting every single vote.
