Poland is going through a very messy time in its government. There is a serious fight happening between the country’s Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, and the President, Andrzej Duda.

These two men see the future of the country in very different ways. Their arguments have become very personal and public, causing a lot of confusion for the people of Poland.

At the same time, the government is trying to change how the law works in the country. They want to "restore the rule of law," which is a fancy way of saying they want to make sure the legal system is fair and follows the rules. As part of this, the government is trying to change who sits on the constitutional court, which is the group of judges that decides if new laws are allowed.

The court just held its first meeting with new judges picked by the government. This has caused a lot of anger from people who think the government is moving too fast or taking too much power.

This fighting is bad news for Poland. Prime Minister Tusk says that Russia is watching the drama closely. He believes Russia is trying to make things even more unstable in Poland so they can take advantage of the situation.

Poland is a key neighbor to Russia and a member of NATO, the group of countries that work together for protection. Because of that, people around the world are worried that these political fights could make Poland weaker or less safe.
