A powerful earthquake has hit Indonesia. It was a magnitude 7.7. This is a very strong quake.
So far, officials say at least 51 people have died. A second earthquake hit the area shortly after the first one.
The quakes have caused a lot of damage. Buildings have fallen down. Roads are blocked by landslides, which is when huge piles of dirt and rock slide down a hill. This makes it very hard for emergency workers to reach the people who need help.
Thousands of people have had to leave their homes to stay safe. Right now, rescue teams are digging through the broken buildings and piles of rubble to look for anyone who might still be alive.
