Fighting Gets Worse in Ethiopia as War Spreads
New battles have broken out in Ethiopia, filling hospitals with wounded people. Global leaders are now being urged to step in.

Things in Ethiopia are getting very bad again. The fighting there has started up with new force, and it does not look like it will stop anytime soon.
Because of the new battles, hospitals are now overflowing. Doctors Without Borders says that they are seeing a huge surge in the number of people coming in with wounds from the fighting.
There is also a lot of blame being tossed around. The chief of Ethiopia’s army just claimed that other countries—specifically Eritrea, Sudan, and Egypt—are helping the Tigray rebels. This is adding more tension to an already messy situation.
Outside of the region, people are starting to take notice. In the United States, members of the Democratic party are pushing for the Trump administration to get involved. They want the U.S. to step in and try to help bring some peace to the area.
