The Houthi rebels are making big moves in Yemen. They are pushing forward in their fight to take over the city of Marib. This city is very important to the local government. If the rebels take it, it would be a huge win for them.
For a long time, the Houthis were just a small group of fighters in the mountains. Now, they have become a major threat. They are causing problems for countries like the United States and Saudi Arabia. Because of this, Iran has more power and influence in the region, since they support the Houthis.
While this gives the rebels more power, it might also hurt them back home. Many people in Yemen do not like the group, and these constant fights are making life harder for everyone.
Even though the fighting is getting worse, the United States has said they will not send soldiers to join the battle directly. They want other forces to handle the situation.
Experts and world leaders are now asking a tough question: Who can actually stop the Houthis? Right now, there is no easy answer. The situation is tense, and it is clear that this group is no longer just a small militia. They are a force that the whole world has to pay attention to now.
