It has been one year since a deal was made to stop the war in Gaza. People hoped this would be the start of a new, peaceful time. Instead, those living there say it feels like the war never really ended.

Families are still trying to survive in the middle of broken buildings and piles of rubble. For many, finding food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep is still a daily struggle.

Reports from major news outlets show that progress has stalled. A ceasefire is supposed to mean an end to fighting, but the situation on the ground remains very difficult. While leaders talk about peace, the people in Gaza are still dealing with destruction and fear every day.

Photos from the area show the same scenes of crumbled homes that have been there for months. Even though there isn't active fighting in some places, the normal life people had is completely gone. Many say they are just as stuck now as they were a year ago.

In short, the promise of the ceasefire hasn't changed the harsh reality for the people of Gaza. The war may have slowed down in some spots, but for the families left behind, the suffering continues.
