A scary scene unfolded on a Flydubai flight recently. A pilot was attacked inside the cockpit while the plane was in the air.
Reports say the co-pilot stabbed the pilot. It is not yet clear why this happened. When the struggle began, passengers realized something was wrong and rushed to help.
One passenger, an Israeli father, described running toward the cockpit to stop the attacker. He and others helped hold the attacker down. They used a chokehold to keep him from fighting back. Thanks to their quick actions, the plane remained under control and no one else was hurt.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the Indian pilot for his bravery. Even though he was wounded, the pilot helped keep the flight safe until it could land.
People who were on the plane said it was a terrifying moment, but they are thankful that the passengers worked together. Officials are now investigating exactly how a co-pilot was able to attack the pilot during the flight.
