New Ukraine peace talks scheduled for next week in Abu Dhabi

High-level meetings to discuss ending the Russia-Ukraine war will be held in the United Arab Emirates with U.S. support.

There is a new push to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. Officials from both sides have confirmed that peace talks will happen next week in Abu Dhabi.

The United States will help lead these meetings. A U.S. envoy named Witkoff said the goal is to figure out the next steps toward peace.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he hopes these talks will lead to a face-to-face meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Reports also mention that Melania Trump is preparing to host a meeting regarding a ceasefire. A ceasefire is an agreement for both sides to stop fighting for a while so they can talk things over.
