South Korea is hitting back against claims that it helped Russia fix its fuel shortage.
Recent reports from Ukraine suggested that South Korea had eased Russia’s fuel crisis. The South Korean government says this is simply not true.
Officials in Seoul are very unhappy with these claims. They are now threatening to take legal action against those who keep saying they helped Russia.
South Korea says they are committed to following international rules. They are clear that they have not sent fuel to help Russia during the ongoing conflict.
“We are taking these accusations very seriously,” an official said. The government is warning that they will use the law to stop the spread of what they call false information.
This comes at a tense time, as countries continue to monitor how resources are moving around the world during the war.
