The United States, South Korea, and Japan are getting ready for a joint military drill. This means their soldiers and ships will practice working together soon.
They are doing this because North Korea has been acting more aggressive lately. North Korea has been putting a lot of pressure on the United States with their recent actions and statements.
By working together, the U.S., South Korea, and Japan want to show that they are ready to protect themselves if things get dangerous. They hope that being prepared will help keep the region stable and safe.
