Sweden’s Leader Fails to Form New Government

Magdalena Andersson has stopped trying to build a government after a disagreement with a smaller party.

Magdalena Andersson, the leader of Sweden's Social Democrat party, has officially given up on her attempt to form a new government. Even though her party won a narrow victory in the recent election, she has been unable to get enough support from other groups in parliament to run the country. The biggest problem was a disagreement with the Left Party. Andersson could not reach a deal that both sides were happy with.
