Ukraine Drones Hit Russian Oil Plants and Bases in Major Strikes

Ukraine is stepping up its attacks on Russian soil. In a series of strikes, Ukrainian drones have hit several important targets inside Russia.
The targets include large oil and gas facilities. A fire broke out at the Novatek complex near Saint Petersburg, which is a major port area. Another refinery in Kirishi, known as the KINEF plant, was also hit. Drones reportedly targeted an airbase in the town of Yeysk as well.
These sites are vital to Russia’s economy and its war effort. By hitting them, Ukraine is trying to disrupt the fuel supply that powers the Russian military.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is clearly angry. He has called the situation a crisis and promised that Russia will hit back. His government is now under pressure to figure out how to stop these drones, which are managing to fly deep into Russian territory to reach their targets.
These attacks show that the war is not staying only on the front lines in Ukraine. It is moving further into Russia, making the conflict more dangerous for everyone involved.
