Ukraine has launched a massive drone attack deep inside Russia. One of the main targets was a giant warehouse owned by Wildberries, which is Russia’s version of Amazon.
The warehouse is located near Moscow. After the strike, the building went up in flames. Videos from the area show a huge fire and thick smoke filling the sky.
Wildberries is a very big retail company in Russia. Some reports suggest that the damage from these recent strikes could reach nearly $12 billion, though the total impact is still being figured out.
This wasn't an isolated event. Officials say that Ukraine sent more than 800 drones toward Russia in a single wave of attacks. These drones targeted different spots across the country.
Experts say Ukraine is hitting these warehouses to hurt the Russian economy. By destroying these centers, it makes it harder for Russia to get goods to people and keeps the cost of the war high for them.
Russia also launched its own series of strikes against cities in Ukraine at the same time. The conflict continues to grow as both sides use more drones to hit targets far away from the front lines.
