Ukraine uses sea drones to hit targets in Russia
Ukrainian drones have struck a Russian port city and hit a ship used for oil and gas repairs in the latest wave of attacks.

Ukraine is taking the fight closer to Russian territory. In a major move, Ukrainian sea drones hit the Russian resort city of Sochi for the very first time.
Sochi is a well-known spot on the Black Sea coast. Until now, it had mostly stayed out of the direct line of fire during the ongoing war. Reports say the drone attacks caused fires at fuel storage areas in the city.
Along with the attack on Sochi, Ukraine also went after a Russian ship called the Nefrit. This ship is used to help with oil and gas work out at sea. By hitting this vessel, Ukraine is trying to disrupt Russia’s ability to maintain its energy projects in the Black Sea.
These strikes show that Ukraine’s reach is growing. They are now using drones to hit targets that were previously considered too far away or too safe. Some reports even suggest that Ukrainian drones have moved toward the area around Moscow, hitting homes and other parts of the Russian coast.
These attacks are a way for Ukraine to put pressure on Russia by damaging their fuel supplies and their ships. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to use drones to gain an advantage in the region.
