Ukrainian Drones Strike Major Russian Oil Refineries

Ukraine launched a series of drone attacks against Russian energy sites today. The biggest hit was at a major oil refinery in Ryazan. Footage shows a large fire burning at the plant.
Ukrainian officials say the strike damaged a key unit used to make gasoline. This unit is essential for processing oil into fuel for cars and trucks. By hitting these sites, Ukraine is aiming to hurt Russia's ability to supply fuel to its military and its people.
Separately, reports from Russia indicate another drone attack took place in Perm. Local officials say one person was killed in that strike.
Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed their defense forces were behind the operation in Ryazan. They stated that the drones also targeted an airfield and air defense equipment nearby.
These attacks are part of a larger strategy by Ukraine to target Russia's oil industry. By damaging these refineries, Ukraine hopes to create economic and logistical problems for the Russian government as the war continues.
