A group of countries is criticizing Israel. They are angry because Israel stopped its investigation into the killing of seven aid workers in Gaza. These workers were part of the World Central Kitchen charity.

The leaders of the UK, Canada, and Australia say the decision to stop looking into what happened is wrong. They wanted a full and open criminal investigation. They feel the workers—including Zomi Frankcom, who was from Australia—deserved much better.

Poland has also taken action. They called in the Israeli ambassador to explain why the investigation was shut down. One of the aid workers killed was a Polish citizen.

Many people are speaking out against this move. Some critics, like those writing in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, say this is not a new behavior for Israel. They argue that Israel often fails to investigate when Palestinians are killed, and now the world is seeing that same pattern happen to international volunteers.

Israel has not offered an apology that satisfies the families or the leaders of these countries. For now, the investigation into the strike that took these lives remains closed, leaving many questions unanswered.
