A deadly air strike hit a Buddhist monastery in Myanmar, killing at least 14 people.

Opposition groups say the attack happened while people were inside praying and taking part in a meditation retreat.

Reports from several news agencies confirm the death toll. The strike adds to the ongoing violence in the country as the military continues to fight against local opposition groups.

So far, there has been no official statement from the military regarding the bombing. People who witnessed the event say it was a targeted strike on the religious site.
