Aung San Suu Kyi, the former leader of Myanmar, has finally spoken to her son. It is the first time they have talked in almost six years.

Suu Kyi has been held in prison by the military since they took control of the country in 2021. For a long time, her family has had almost no contact with her. They have been very worried about her health.

Reports say the phone call was short. During the conversation, they talked about their health and how they are doing.

This call comes after pressure from the outside world. There are even reports that King Charles of the United Kingdom helped push for better treatment for her.

The military government also recently showed rare new pictures of her. Before these pictures were released, no one had seen her for a long time.

Suu Kyi was once the leader of Myanmar and a famous voice for democracy. She remains a very important person to the people of her country, even while she is being kept away from them in jail.
