The FBI and other law enforcement teams just finished a major mission to stop scammers working out of Africa. They called this mission 'Operation Cyberhunt.'

During the operation, authorities arrested 28 people. They also shut down several scam compounds. These are places where people work together to trick others out of their money online.

Big tech companies like Facebook helped with the investigation. The goal was to stop networks that use the internet to steal from people. Officials say these criminals have already caused at least $10 million in losses for hundreds of victims.

As part of the crackdown, Ghana sent 120 Nigerian citizens back to their home country. This was linked to the effort to break up a fraud ring based in Accra, the capital of Ghana.

This mission shows that police and tech companies are working together more closely to stop online scams that cross borders. The investigation is still ongoing as authorities look into how these groups operated.
